We are delighted to announce that the 27th Conference on Process Integration, Modelling and Optimisation for Energy Saving and Pollution Reduction - PRES’24 will be held in Xi’an, China, from 25 to 28 August 2024, <http://pres24.com.cn/>.

This venue will be hosted by a local organising committee from Xi’an Jiaotong University, headed by Professor Qiuwang Wang, from the Key Laboratory of Thermo-Fluid Science and Engineering, MOE, School of Energy and Power Engineering.

The upcoming PRES’24 will provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas, and forging new collaborations within a range of important topics with a focus on addressing global challenges in energy, water, pollution, and sustainability. Classical Chemical and Mechanical Engineering approaches will be enhanced by many interdisciplinary collaborations. The list of topics includes:

a) Process Integration for sustainable development

b) Process analysis, modelling, and optimisation

c) Total Site Integration

d) Heat transfer and heat exchangers

e) Energy saving and clean technologies

f) Sustainable processing and production

g) Renewable and high-efficiency utility systems

j) Waste minimisation, processing and management

k) Batch process analysis and integration

l) Process network dynamics, flexibility and control

m) Industrial implementation and optimisation

n) Numerical fluid flow and heat transfer simulation

o) Sustainability and Process Integration teaching, learning and knowledge tools
