Anil V. Virkar教授现为美国犹他大学教授，材料科学工程学院主任，美国工程院院士，在燃料电池领域取得了很多开创性的研究成果，具有很深的造诣，为燃料电池领域的进步作出了重要贡献。Anil V. Virkar教授1967年本科毕业于印度理工学院Indian Institute of Technology，1969年硕士毕业于美国路易斯安那大学Louisiana State University，1973年博士毕业于美国西北大学。现为American Ceramic Society、American Society for Metals和The Electrochemical Society成员。曾多次获得犹他大学、Indian Chemical Engineering Society、The Electrochemical Society等机构的奖励。到目前为止，已发表论文170多篇，申请发明专利33个，出版专著3本。
